Today I parked my car in a busy shopping center in the U.S. and went to run some errands. When I came back, I noticed something strange — there was money placed under my windshield wiper.
At first, I thought it was just a random act or maybe someone playing a prank. But as I got closer, I realized it was a $50 bill. There was no one around, and it immediately felt suspicious.
I didn’t touch it. Instead, I got into my car and called a friend to ask what he thought. That’s when he warned me about a scam that has been spreading in the United States.
He explained that criminals place money — often fake — under the windshield wiper so that the driver notices it only after getting inside the car. Naturally, most people step out to grab the money.
