Getting rid of rats and cockroaches naturally is entirely possible if you use common ingredients that you probably already have at home.
One of the most effective and inexpensive home remedies is rice, which, when combined with other ingredients, becomes a powerful ally against these pests. This method is not only safe for the home, but also environmentally friendly, as it avoids the use of toxic chemicals. Raw rice acts as a deadly bait when mixed with gypsum (also known as lime or white cement).
To make it, simply mix equal parts ground dry rice and gypsum powder. When the mixture is ready, place it in small containers or bottle caps in places where rats and cockroaches often move around – such as corners, behind furniture, or near drains.
It is also important to place a container of water near the bait, as when the rodent or insect ingests the mixture and then drinks water, the gypsum hardens in their stomach and effectively kills them.
