I was still at their house when she told me with a mysterious smile that she had something special for me.
And then he handed me a transparent object that looked like a penguin ghost or the imprint of an alien creature.
To the touch, it was like molten glass, with bubbles, wavy edges, and a strangely deformed shape.
"Try to guess," she said, barely holding back her laughter.
I looked at it from all sides. It was hollow inside, with wavy walls and a narrow opening.
Ice cream mold? A decorative object? Or... something intimate? "I admit, even that thought crossed my mind.
My girlfriend burst into laughter at my every guess. None of them were true. In the end, I gave up.
"Tell me what it is, or I won't be able to sleep!"
And then she revealed the secret:
"It was an ordinary plastic cup... until I put it in the dishwasher. It melted!
I couldn't believe it. From an ordinary plastic cup, it had turned into something like an exhibit from a modern art museum.
And the most amazing thing was that it had deformed so symmetrically that it looked as if it had been designed on purpose.
Since then, I've kept it on my shelf as a reminder: the dishwasher is powerful, and sometimes accidents give birth to real art.
