The Invisible Threat: Electromagnetic Pollution
The second reason why people massively cover their routers (or make a “shield” on one side) is for health reasons. Although
science is still debating the harm of Wi-Fi waves, many people believe that constant radiation leads to insomnia, headaches and fatigue.
Placing foil on the side of the router that faces the bedroom or sofa acts as a shield. It reduces the strength of the radiation in the relaxation areas, while maintaining the connection in the rest of the home.
How to do it correctly?
You don't need to wrap the entire router (that could overheat it!).
Take a piece of foil and stick it onto cardboard with a slight curve.
Place it upright behind the device.
